2-piece Fried Chicken Meal from Kipp’s (PHP 135)

Location: Food Court, SM Malls

Addi says: “Kipp’s chicken never disappoints: the chicken pieces are huge with super crispy and thick skin and really tasty meat. Although the greasy yellow rice adds a little more excitement to the dining experience, I still can’t decide whether I like this more than the Jollibee Chicken Joy. No, please don’t make me choose.”

'KIPP' on coming back for the fried chicken - by luvleegurl

Food courts. Great food finds. Affordable prices. Those are synonymous with each other.
You have lots of choices to choose from which sometimes makes deciding what to eat a hard thing to do. smile

Way back high school days, I remember eating at Kipp's already. From fast food choices, my favorites are KFC and Jollibee but for me, Kipp's also gives them a run for their money. The price is competitive. The taste is delicious and the service just the same. Why not give this a try, right?

And you should. If you judge their chicken based on what you just see from their small stall at food courts, then you would be gravely mistaken because what they have to offer is very good too. Their chicken are always crispy. For a solo meal of just P84, you already have 1pc prime cut chicken part with gravy, java rice and regular sized drink.

Not bad at all. smile

Food Memoirs: Reuniting with Kipp's Chicken - by Maren Mae Ilagan eatsadate Foodista

It has been more than 2 years I think since I last savored this winner!
I would have to admit, it was a conscious effort to forget the things I used to
do with my ex. I had to help myself move on. Thank God I'm now totally over and ok.

Yesterday I went for a stroll at Megamall's foodcourt to check out the food finds. I was craving for some
good old Filipino comfort food then (laing or pinangat particularly), when suddenly I found myself in front of a store which has been
so significant in my past. I felt I was ready to enjoy this again for I don't associate Kipp's with my ex bf anymore. How nice it is to face one's fear. I'm just so happy I finally got through  that storm.

Kipp's Chicken  has been around for more than 10 yrs for sure. I don't really know much about its owner or what. All I know is that they serve one of the best tasting fried chicken in the nation!

their prices are sooo affordable!

Let me tell you why...
It's all about their secret recipe.
1 pc meal for 86php plus 18php for the salad <3
Their chicken is always fresh and newly fried by the time it lands on your  plate.  It's rich and full flavored! Crispy golden brown on the outside yet tender and juicy on the inside. I believe it also has a lot to do with the frying temperature.  I won't be telling you the perfect temperature for frying chicken 'coz it's top secret!!!
It perfectly goes well with their very own  yellow Spanish rice! Their gravy is always warm, thick and rich in flavor (I can taste the peppers, chicken stock, liver etc).

Add their macaroni salad (additional 18php)on the side to complete the masterpiece! Their macaroni salad may taste a bit bland but I believe it gives balance to the entire meal, not to mention another texture while you  savor it in your mouth. Each spoonful gives you a savory symphony of complimenting flavors and textures!!!
a symphony of flavors

Believe me when I say it's damn good!
Definitely a must try!
i need more practice with my lighting
I would have to admit though that taking photos all by myself today made me think about Frank.
I would have to admit I still have difficulty in adjusting the light and the people were looking at me while I was taking photos. Nothing beats taking photos with him!

crispy on the outside, tender juicy on the inside
I wonder why they don't expand much or rarely market their product. Kipp's Chicken is indeed a foodie gem! Hope we can meet the owner in person so we can ask more questions and take better photos. I do hope Kipp's Chicken will be around for years and years to come to be enjoyed by generations!

Kipp's Chicken! by AngelD

When I'm out travelling, I promised myself not to resort to fast food. It'll spoil the chances of eating something new and remarkable. But times were a little tough after an entire day of shopping spree, so there I was scanning the cheapest offer along SM Megamall Foodcourt. Kipp's Chicken first caught my attention for its resemblance (in color cheme and logo) to Andok's. I wasn't that hungry, so I thought this chicken burger and spaghetti combo, which was all mine for only Php63.00, wouldn't be so bad. I liked the spag; the sauce was tasty, it was more than what you'd expect from a fast food.

Kipp's Chicken and SM Southmall - by Homer Nievera

http://southofmetro.blogspot.com/2010/10/kipps-chicken-and-sm-southmall.html

Crispy Fried Chicken and Java Rice.

I got my wish a few days ago when went to SM Southmall in Las Pinas for a doctor's appointment at Casa Medica.

I have always equated tasty fried chicken and java rice with Kipp's Chicken. And I believe it's only in SM Southmall that I have tasted Kipp's. That's also probably because they only have 2 other branches: SM North EDSA and SM Megamall foodcourts.

For those who haven't tried Kipp's Chicken, you'll definitely love the gravy. I usually buy extra at 4 pesos, because unlike KFC or Jollibee where gravy is overflowing, at Kipp's, you'll have to buy for an extra small tub. It's worth it anyway.

It's been years since I stepped into SM Southmall. When there wasn't any other SM in Paranaque or Las Pinas, Southmall was the place to do our groceries. They're now doing a lot of renovations in the mall. There's even some construction at the covered parking in the basement.

On this recent visit, I chanced upon Ballet Philippines' performance. Lovely!

Do you know why it took us a very long time to go back to SM Southmall? Sadly, when my then-12-year old son was abducted there, I swore to never go back to Southmall. Yes, Karl was abducted at Bio Research, brought to a nearby establishment outside the mall, and the abductor left him at a nearby arcade when he got Karl's cellphone. Thank God for prayers, Karl wasn't hurt and miraculously returned to us in 2 hours. I hope SM in general has improved it's security over the years. Otherwise, beware!

The Bebbe Blog ...and this is what I have to say

http://hammock20.livejournal.com/63626.html

Kipps Chicken. Now this on the other hand is something that is from a more recent past. I remember this from high school. This opened in SM North Edsa food court when I was in second year and it would always be a treat for me to eat here. I love their super juicy chicken, java rice and macaroni salad. Never mind the grease. So when I saw this sa Megamall after a visit to the PT, I just had to eat here. It still tastes exactly the way I remember it. Sarap. Of course, I've been known to have poor memory.

Kipp’s Chicken

Friday, August 25th, 2006
I remember it very well. The taste of the chicken in Kipp’s, a food chain in SM southmall. The taste is heavenly. It was my favorite food back then, which was 7 years ago when I used to live in Cavite.
I searched Kipp’s Chicken in malls in Manila. I tried SM Megamall, SM Makati, Glorietta, Market Market, SM Manila, Robison’s Place and Robinson’s Galleria. Still, no Kipp’s Chicken.
Now, I was assigned in Casa Medica, formerly Mediserve, and got the oppurtunity again to taste the chicken I longed for so many years. Thank God for this chance.

Kipp's Chicken is a fast-food restaurant offering fried chicken meals. They have a variety of budget meals offered: fried chicken wings with spanish rive and soft-drinks or iced tea or lemonade, 2 pieces fried chicken with rice and drinks, 3 pieces fried chicken with rice and drinks, one piece fried chicken with spaghetti and drinks, etc...They only serve fried chicken. But their fried chicken is the best tasting fried chicken here in the Philippines! Their fried chicken combined with their spanish rice and their gravy and ketchup sauce makes the meal irresistible!!!
